Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

This document is Part 3 of GB/T 41629 "Rated voltage 500kV (Um=550kV) XLPE insulated long-length AC submarine cables and accessories".

GB/T 41629 has released the following parts:

--- Part 1: Test methods and requirements;

--- Part 2: Large-length AC submarine cables;

--- Part 3: Submarine cable accessories.

Introduction

Submarine cables are widely used in offshore wind power transmission, island power supply, and offshore platform power supply and distribution. Compared with onshore cables, submarine power cable has the characteristics of complex product structure, high protection requirements, and special grounding methods. GB/T 41629 is the product standard for the rated voltage 500kV submarine cable and accessory system, including the naming rules, test methods and technical requirements of submarine cables and accessory systems, and consists of the following 3 parts:

--- Part 1: Test methods and requirements. The purpose is to unify the test and technical requirements of the rated voltage 500kV submarine cable and accessory system.

--- Part 2: Large-length AC submarine cables. The purpose is to unify the structural parameters and basic performance requirements of the rated voltage 500kV submarine cable.

--- Part 3: Submarine cable accessories. The purpose is to unify the structural parameters and basic performance requirements of the rated voltage 500kV submarine cable accessories.

1 Scope

This document specifies the use characteristics, model nomenclature, marking, material structure, technical requirements for finished accessories, acceptance rules, packaging, transportation and storage of the accessories of XLPE insulated long-length submarine cables with rated voltage of 500kV (Um=550kV).

This document applies to factory joints (soft joints), repair joints, transition joints between submarine cables and land cables, outdoor terminals and GIS terminals of XLPE insulated long-length submarine cables with rated voltage of 500kV (Um=550kV).
