1 Foreword

JB/T 11167.1-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.

It is one of 3 parts of the JB/T 11167 series.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard and the first part of the series on long alternating-current submarine cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation and their accessories, for rated voltages from 10 kV (Um = 12 kV) up to 110 kV (Um = 126 kV). This part gives the test methods and the requirements for those cables and accessories. It applies to single-core and three-core XLPE submarine cables from 10 kV to 110 kV and to optical fibre composite XLPE submarine cables, and it reaches factory-made accessories too, among them soft joints, repair joints and terminations. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 2951.11-2008, GB/T 2951.13-2008, GB/T 2951.21-2008, GB/T 3048.12-2007, GB/T 3956-2008, GB/T 16927.1-1997 and JB/T 11167.2-2011.
