GB/T 3543.3-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering separating a seed sample into pure seed, other plant seeds and inert matter — the working sample and the instruments, the analysis procedure for uncoated and for coated seed, the count of seeds of other plants including the limited test and the broomrape determination, the pure seed definitions that decide what a fragment counts as, and the tolerance tables against which a duplicate analysis is judged. Part 3 of the series. It replaces GB/T 3543.3-1995, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. In force from 1 September 2025. Issued on 28 February 2025, it has been in force since 1 September 2025, replacing GB/T 3543.3-1995.

This document replaces GB/T 3543.3-1995 "Crop Seed Inspection Procedure Purity Analysis" and is consistent with GB/T 3543.3-1995.
In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
— Changed the terms and definitions of clarity analysis (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the 1995 edition);
— Added general principles for clarity analysis (see Chapter 4);
— Added instrument tweezers and brushes (Chapter 5);
— Changed the clarity analysis procedure (see Chapter 6, Chapter 5 of the 1995 edition);
— Added the analysis of the purity of coated seeds and the number of other plant seeds and clarified the relevant determination contents (see 6.2, Chapter 7);
— Added simplified limited test for the number of seeds of other plants (see 7.1.1.2) and determination of species of Orobancha species (see 7.1.3);
— Changed the rules for distinguishing clean seeds, other plant seeds and impurities, and expanded the scope of types applicable to clean seeds (see Appendix

Introduction

3.1 Clarity Analysis
3.1.1 Uncoated seeds
3.1.1.1 Purity
The proportions and characteristics of the three components of clean seeds, impurities and other plant seeds.
3.1.1.2 Pureseed
