1 Scope
This document specifies the quality requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation and storage of Codonopsis pilosula seeds and seedlings.
This document applies to seedling producers, managers and users of Codonopsis pilosula in seed production, harvesting, transportation, sowing, storage, etc. Seed quality grading and inspection at the time of trade.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.2 Seedling
Umbelliferae Codonopsis is a robust plant larvae formed by seedlings of Codonopsis genus.
3.3 Root length
The succulent taproots of Ming Codonopsis do not count the length of the lateral roots from the top to the end.
3.4 Root thick rootdiameter
The maximum diameter of the enlarged top of the fleshy taproot of Codonopsis pilosula.
