1 Scope

GB/T 47304-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering GACP for medicinal plants - the seed and site, the cultivation and the restrictions on agrochemicals, the timing of harvest that determines the active content, the primary processing and drying, and the traceability of a batch back to a field. The quality of a traditional medicine is largely decided before it reaches a factory. First edition, in force since 1 October 2026, under the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. This document defines the terminology related to the proper cultivation and harvesting of medicinal plants, and specifies the proper cultivation, harvesting, primary processing, and packaging of medicinal plants. This document applies to the technical measures taken by producers of medicinal plants, which are cultivated, harvested, and distributed as agricultural products, to improve quality and yield.
