1 Scope
This document specifies the quality requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation and storage of Atractylodes Rhizoma seedlings.
This document is applicable to the producers, managers and users of Atractylodes Rhizoma seedlings in the production, harvesting, transportation, sowing, storage and trade of seedlings quality grading and inspection of seedlings.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Rhizome used for propagation
The underground rhizomes of the one-legged Compositae Atractylodes for propagation.
3.2 Terminalbud
Germination at the top of the rhizome.
3.3 Lateralbud
Germination outside the terminal bud location.
3.4 Fibrousroot
A fibrous root that grows from the base of the terminal and lateral shoots.
4 Quality requirements
The quality of Atractylodes Rhizoma seedlings should meet the requirements of Table 1.
