Scope

GB/T 19557.22-2017 is the English-translated version of 植物品种特异性、一致性和稳定性测试指南豌豆.

GB/T 19557.22-2017 is the Chinese guideline for testing the distinctness, uniformity and stability (DUS) of pea varieties (Pisum sativum L.). It sets out the technical requirements for the tests and the general principles for judging the results, for use in plant variety testing.

The standard covers the symbols used for observation methods, the requirements for the propagating material, the test method, how distinctness, uniformity and stability are determined, the table of characteristics, the grouping characteristics and the technical questionnaire.

It defines the four ways of recording a characteristic: single measurement of a group of plants, measurement of individual plants, visual assessment of a group, and visual assessment of individual plants.

Annexes give the pea table of characteristics, its explanations and the technical questionnaire. It was issued on 1 November 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 19557.1 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Group measurement

An organ or part of a group of plants or plants is measured and a group record is obtained.

3.2 Individual measurement

Individuals or parts of a plant or plant were measured one by one to obtain a set of individual records.

3.3 Visual inspection of the group

A group of plants or plant organs or parts of a visual inspection, access to a group record.

3.4 Individual visual assessment

A group of plants or plant organs or parts of a visual inspection to obtain a set of individual records.
