Foreword

This document is drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2020, Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB 17945-2010, Fire emergency lighting and evacuate indicating system. Compared with GB 17945-2010, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) terms and definitions have been added for "A type fire emergency luminaire", "B type fire emergency luminaire", "fire emergency lighting and sign combined luminaire", "variable-indication fire emergency evacuation sign luminaire", "multi-information combined fire emergency evacuation sign luminaire", "A type emergency lighting distribution box", "B type emergency lighting distribution box", "A type emergency lighting centralized power supply", "B type emergency lighting centralized power supply", "independent emergency lighting controller", "centralized emergency lighting controller", "area emergency lighting controller" and "centralized/area compatible emergency lighting controller" (see 3.5, 3.6, 3.15, 3.16, 3.17, 3.19, 3.20, 3.22, 3.23, 3.25, 3.26, 3.27, 3.28);

b) the term and definition "fire emergency sign luminaire" has been changed (see 3.14; 3.2.2 of the 2010 edition);

c) the terms and definitions "centrally controlled system with self-contained power supply", "non-centrally controlled system with self-contained power supply", "centrally controlled system with centralized power supply", "non-centrally controlled system with centralized power supply", "emergency lighting sub-distribution device" and "end voltage" have been deleted (see 3.13, 3.14, 3.15, 3.16, 3.18, 3.19 of the 2010 edition);

d) the system classification (see 4.1; 4.1 of the 2010 edition) and the classification of fire emergency luminaires (see 4.2.1; 4.2 of the 2010 edition) have been changed;

e) the classification of emergency lighting centralized power supplies and emergency lighting distribution boxes (see 4.2.2) and the classification of emergency lighting controllers (see 4.2.3) have been added;

f) the self-test function of the system has been changed (see 5.2.4; 6.2.7 of the 2010 edition);

g) the repeated changeover performance has been changed (see 5.2.5; 6.6 of the 2010 edition);

h) marking has been added (see 5.3.2);

i) structure (see 5.3.3; 6.15 and 6.17.5 of the 2010 edition), creepage distances and clearances (see 5.3.4; 6.16 of the 2010 edition) and tensile and torsional force on external wiring (see 5.3.5; 6.15.2 of the 2010 edition) have been changed;

j) materials have been added (see 5.3.6), and the oxygen index has been deleted (see 6.17.5 of the 2010 edition);

k) the earthing requirements have been changed (see 5.3.7; 6.2.2 of the 2010 edition);

l) the insulation requirements have been changed (see 5.3.8; 6.10 of the 2010 edition);

m) requirements for program and data storage have been added (see 5.3.9);

n) the performance requirements for the main parts of system equipment have been changed (see 5.3.11; 6.17 of the 2010 edition);

o) "withstand voltage performance" has been changed to "electric strength performance" and the performance requirements have been changed (see 5.4.1; 6.11 and 7.10 of the 2010 edition);

p) the voltage fluctuation performance has been changed (see 5.4.2; 6.7 of the 2010 edition);

q) the resistance to climatic environments has been changed (see 5.4.3; 6.12 of the 2010 edition);

r) the resistance to mechanical environments has been changed (see 5.4.4; 6.13 of the 2010 edition);

s) the electromagnetic compatibility performance has been changed (see 5.4.5; 6.14 of the 2010 edition);

t) the changeover voltage performance has been changed (see 5.4.6; 6.8 of the 2010 edition);

u) the enclosure protection performance has been changed (see 5.4.7; Clause 5 of the 2010 edition);

v) the charge and discharge endurance performance requirements have been deleted (see 6.9 of the 2010 edition);

w) the function and performance requirements for luminaires have been changed (see 5.5; 6.2, 6.3.1, 6.3.2 and 6.3.3 of the 2010 edition);

x) the function and performance requirements for emergency lighting controllers have been changed (see 5.6; 6.2, 6.3.1 and 6.3.7 of the 2010 edition);

y) the function and performance requirements for emergency lighting centralized power supplies have been changed (see 5.7; 6.2, 6.3.1 and 6.3.4 of the 2010 edition);

z) the function and performance requirements for emergency lighting distribution boxes have been changed (see 5.8; 6.2, 6.3.1 and 6.3.5 of the 2010 edition);

aa) the function and performance requirements for emergency lighting sub-distribution devices have been deleted (see 6.3.6 of the 2010 edition);

bb) the test samples (see 6.1.4; 7.1.3 of the 2010 edition) and the test procedure (see 6.1.5; 7.1.5 of the 2010 edition) have been changed;

cc) appearance (see 6.3), main parts (components) (see 6.4), marking and instructions for use (see 6.5), structure (see 6.6), creepage distances and clearances (see 6.7), tensile and torsional force on external wiring (see 6.8), materials (see 6.9), the impact (operational) test (see 6.21) and the power frequency magnetic field immunity test (see 6.32) have been added;

dd) the charge and discharge test has been deleted (see 7.3 of the 2010 edition) and its test content moved to the basic function test (see 6.10);

ee) the charge and discharge endurance test (see 7.7 of the 2010 edition) and the impact test (see 7.15 of the 2010 edition) have been deleted;

ff) the requirements for marking (see Clause 8; Clause 9 of the 2010 edition) and for instructions for use (see Clause 9; Clause 10 of the 2010 edition) have been changed;

gg) the title of Annex A has been changed from "Composition of fire emergency lighting and evacuate indicating system" to "System and equipment"; classification diagrams of emergency lighting controllers, emergency lighting centralized power supplies and emergency lighting distribution boxes have been added, together with "normal operating state of system equipment", "emergency start-up and reset of the system", "rated output power", "end voltage", "battery power management unit", "battery pack", "emergency luminous flux", "energy-saving luminous flux" and "emergency lighting of the luminaire light source" (see Annex A);

hh) the requirements of the annex "Product model" have been changed (see Annex B; Annex C of the 2010 edition);

ii) requirements in an annex "Storage of luminaire self-test information" have been added (see Annex C);

jj) the title of the annex "Evacuation indicating signs" has been changed to "Evacuation indicating signs dedicated to fire emergency evacuation sign luminaires", and the requirements for the signs have been changed (see Annex D; Annex B of the 2010 edition);

kk) the requirements of the annex "Sealed nickel-cadmium and nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries" have been deleted (see Annex D of the 2010 edition);

ll) the requirements of the annex "Valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries" have been deleted (see Annex E of the 2010 edition);

mm) requirements for the "graphic display device" have been added (see Annex E);

nn) the requirements of the annex "Abrasive wheel" have been changed (see Annex F; Annex F of the 2010 edition).
