Scope
GB/T 44643-2024 is the English-translated version of 电力应急标识规范.
GB/T 44643-2024 standardises the signs and markings used in electrical emergencies. During an incident at a substation or on a network - a fire, a flood, a storm restoration - the people arriving include crews from other regions and emergency services who are not electrical workers, working at night, under time pressure, in an installation they have never seen. What they must find immediately is where the isolation points are, which routes are safe, where equipment is staged and which areas must not be entered. If those markings differ between operators, the crews that arrive to help lose time exactly where time matters, and a firefighter can misread a boundary that separates safe from lethal. This document specifies the general requirements, the basic types and application requirements for emergency identification signs in the power industry, together with the requirements for their acceptance, inspection and maintenance - the maintenance part being what keeps a sign legible years after installation. It excludes nuclear power, which has its own regime. Under ICS 13.200 and CCS F25, it is written for grid and generation operators, for emergency services, and for the safety supervision authorities.
