Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting: This document replaces GB/T 3716-2000 "Pallet Terminology": Compared with GB/T 3716-2000, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes In addition, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) The expressions of terms and definitions of rated load and payload have been changed (see 3:2, 3:8, 2:2, B3 of the:2000 edition), and the collection of Medium load, uniform load, embossed load, rigid load, maximum working load, safety factor, stiffness, test load, ultimate load Terms and definitions of load and failure (see 3:3, 3:4, 3:5, 3:6, 3:7, 3:9, 3:10, 3:11, 3:12, 3:13);

b) Changed the terms and definitions of single-sided pallets, shelves, pallets with fork grooves on the longitudinal beams, pallets with overlapping longitudinal beam plates, and pallets with arbitrary forks: description (see 4:2, 4:3, 4:10, 4:11, 4:12, 3:1, B2, 3:5:1, 3:5:2, 3:6 of the:2000 edition), adding flat pallets, embedded Terms and definitions for nested pallets, asymmetrical pallets, wing pallets, single-sided wing pallets, double-sided wing pallets, repair pallets, restructured pallets (See 4:1, 4:15, 4:16, 4:17, 4:18, 4:19, 4:20, 4:21);

d) The terms and definitions of hoardings and pallet conversion devices have been changed (see 6:1 and 6:2, 5:1 and 5:2 of the:2000 edition);

i) Changed the nature of Appendix A (see Appendix A, Appendix B of the:2000 version);

1 Scope

GB/T 3716-2023 is the Chinese vocabulary of pallets. The pallet is the unit in which nearly all freight moves, and the terminology matters commercially: a pool operator, a shipper and a customs authority have to mean the same thing by a four-way entry, a reversible pallet, a stringer and a deckboard, and the pallet exchange systems that underpin Chinese logistics depend on describing a pallet precisely enough to swap it for another. The standard defines the general terms, the terms for flat pallets, for pallets with superstructure, for the upper members of a pallet and for its mechanical fasteners, with a normative annex on unit load handling terminology and an informative annex on slip sheet terminology. It replaces GB/T 3716-2000 and took effect on 27 November 2023.

3 Common terms

3:1 pallet pallet A kind of equipment used to assemble, carry, store, load and unload, stack, transport or display goods and loads: The minimum height meets the requirements of pallet trucks, forklifts and Other horizontal rigid boards suitable for handling requirements of loading and unloading equipment: see picture 1:
