Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

This document replaces GB/T 31148-2014 "General Flat Pallet Wooden Flat Pallet for Intermodal Transportation", compared with GB/T 31148-2014, except In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Changed one of the styles of wooden flat pallets [see b) in Figure 1, c) in Figure 1 of the.2014 edition];

--- Added wooden flat pallet structure (see 4.2);

--- Changed the allowable strength value and safety factor of wood for wooden flat pallets (see 5.1.1.1, Table 1, 5.1.1.1 and 5.1.1.1 of the.2014 edition).

--- Changed the two recommended wood species with relatively low allowable strength among the wood species (see 5.1.1.2, 5.1.1.2 of the 2014 edition);

--- Changed sawn timber defects (see 5.1.1.4, 5.2.2 of the 2014 edition);

--- Deleted the pallet nail specifications and use cases (see 5.1.2 of the 2014 edition);

--- Changed the requirements for plane dimensions and tolerances of wooden flat pallets (see 5.2, 5.3 of the 2014 edition);

--- Increased the requirements for pallet nails (see 5.3.1.1);

--- Increased the minimum number of pallet nails used (see 5.3.1.2);

--- Changed the requirements for the difference between the two diagonal lengths of the wooden flat pallet plane (see 5.3.3, 5.4.4 of the 2014 edition);

--- Deleted the rated load of wooden flat pallets (see 5.6 of the 2014 edition);

--- Changed performance requirements and inspection requirements (see 5.5, 6.5, 5.6, 6.5 of the 2014 edition);

--- Change the test method for sawn timber defects (see 6.1.5, 2014 edition see 6.2);

--- Changed the inspection items (see Table 5 in 7.3, Table 4 in 7.3 of the 2014 edition);

--- Changed the defect classification (see Table 6 in 7.5.2, Table 5 in 7.5.2 of the 2014 edition);

--- Delete the dimensions and tolerances of shaving pads (see A.1 in Appendix A of the 2014 edition);

--- Changed the dimensions and tolerances of wooden flat pallet components (see Appendix B, Appendix B of the 2014 edition);

--- Changed the wooden flat pallet cloth pin drawing (see Appendix C, Appendix C of the 2014 edition);

--- Changed Appendix C to an informative appendix (see Appendix C, Appendix C of the 2014 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the style and structure, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of wooden flat pallets content.

This document applies to the design, production and inspection of reusable wooden flat pallets, single-use wooden flat pallets can also be referred to use.
