Scope

QC/T 900-1997 is the English-translated version of 汽车整车产品质量检验评定方法.

QC/T 900-1997 is the recommended Chinese automotive industry standard that sets out how a complete vehicle is inspected for quality and how the result is scored.

It fixes the sampling requirements for such an inspection, the content of the tests, the test methods and the method by which the vehicle is then assessed. It is written for the supervisory quality inspection of category M and category N motor vehicles and of road trains.

The standard replaced QCn 29006-1991, QCn 29007-1991 and QCn 29008-1991, and it calls up a long list of national requirements for vehicle safety, lighting, noise and emissions, among them GB 1589, GB 4785, GB 11551 and the GB 14761 series. It was issued on 1 January 1997.
