1 Subject Contents and Applicable Scope
This Standard specifies the shape, dimension, position and strength requirements for motor vehicles and trailers.
This Standard is applicable to the Category-M, Category-N and Category-O vehicles.

3 Terms and Definitions
3.1 License plate
The plate directly installed the license.
4 Shape and Dimension of License Plate
The license plate can be a rectangular flat plate (it can be a curved surface when meeting the requirements for the installation of license plate).
5 Position of License Plate (Bracket)
After installing the license to the license plate (bracket), it shall not affect the approach angle and departure angle of the vehicle design.
5.1 Position of front license plate (bracket)
The front license plate (bracket) is located on the front bumper of the vehicle.
5.2 Position of rear license plate (bracket)
The rear license plate (bracket) is located on the rear end of the vehicle.
5.2.1 The license installed on the rear license plate (bracket) shall be perpendicular or
approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal symmetry plane of the vehicle. The midpoint of the rear license shall not be on the right side of the longitudinal symmetry plane of the vehicle; while the rear license and license bracket shall not exceed the left edge of the rear end of the vehicle.
5.2.2 The license installed on the rear license plate (bracket) shall be basically
perpendicular to the horizontal plane.
5.2.3 The height of the lower edge of license installed on the rear license plate (bracket)
from the ground shall be no less than 0.30m; while the height of the upper edge from the ground shall be no greater than 1.20m.
6 Visual Range
The license installed on the license plate (bracket) shall be visible in the following spatial range, which consists of the following four planes. two vertical planes that pass through the two sides of the license, and form outward angle of 30°;
7 Strength of License Bracket
After installing the license, the license bracket shall be ensured without looseness or deformation under the normal use of the vehicle; and shall not be disassembled under the case of disassembling or no damage of the license.
