QC/T 256-1998 is the English-translated version of 液化石油气汽车定型试验规程.
QC/T 256-1998 is the Chinese automotive industry standard that lays down the type approval evaluation test programme for vehicles fuelled by liquefied petroleum gas.
It covers the conditions under which the type test is run, the items to be tested, the procedures and methods used, and the content of the test report.
It applies to finalised vehicle products fitted with dedicated LPG equipment, covering single-fuel LPG vehicles, petrol and LPG dual-fuel vehicles and diesel and LPG dual-fuel vehicles of categories M and N. It quotes GB 7258-1997, GB/T 3845-1993, GB/T 12543-1990, GB/T 14762-1993, QC/T 247-1998 and SY/T 7548-1998. Issued on 16 December 1998, it has applied since 1 July 1999.
