Scope

QC/T 247-2017 is the English-translated version of 液化石油气汽车燃气系统技术条件.

QC/T 247-2017 describes the gas fuel system fitted to vehicles running on liquefied petroleum gas and sets its requirements. It covers systems burning LPG to GB 19159 at a rated working pressure of 2.2 MPa, with parts working from -40 °C to 120 °C in the engine compartment and from -40 °C to 85 °C elsewhere.

The system must carry at least a filling receptacle, cylinder and accessories, level gauge, stop valve, solenoid valve and speed sensor, and must cut the gas off by itself when the ignition is off, the engine is stopped or a line breaks.

Further clauses require a non-contact level gauge, a resetting over-flow valve and coatings to QC/T 625. It draws from UNECE R67 and replaces QC/T 247-2002, and was issued on 9 January 2017 with effect from 1 July 2017.
