Scope
GB 35208-2025 is the English-translated version of 液化石油气瓶过流切断阀.
GB 35208-2025 is the Chinese national standard on overflow cutoff valves for liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, in the field of fluid systems and general-purpose components. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 2 December 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2026. Classification: ICS 23.020.30, CCS J 16. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 35208-2017 "Self-closing Liquefied Petroleum Gas Cylinder Valves". Compared with GB/T 35208-2017, the only changes are in the structural design. Aside from integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The terms "protective cap/dust cap," "valve column," "external airtightness," and "internal airtightness" and their definitions have been deleted (see section
3.1 of the.2017 edition). Articles 3.3, 3.4, and
3.5 have added the terms "baseline condition" and "rated cutoff flow rate" and their definitions (see
b) The valve model designation has been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the.2017 edition);
c) Added requirements for the basic dimensions of angle valves (see 5.1), and changed the requirements for the basic dimensions of straight valves (see 5.1,.2017 edition). 5.1) The basic dimensions of the valve and the schematic diagram of the self-closing liquefied petroleum gas cylinder have been deleted (see Table 1 and Figure 1 in the.2017 edition);
d) Increased design requirements for valve structure (see 5.2);
e) Design requirements for the overcurrent cut-off device structure and reset mechanism have been added (see 5.3, 5.4, and 5.5);
f) The specification of the liquid phase cylinder valve inlet thread PZ
39.0 has been added, and the plastic-lined, fully fiber-wound cylinder valve inlet thread M26× Specifications of 1.5 (see 5.6);
g) Added requirements for the thread of the angle valve outlet (see 5.7);
h) The requirement for the diameter of the straight valve outlet has been increased (see 5.8);
i) Added requirements for the liquid phase bottle valve's liquid phase pipe thread (see 5.9);

This document specifies the model designation and design requirements for angle valves and straight valves (hereinafter referred to as "valve") of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders with overcurrent shut-off function. Requirements, technical requirements, inspection and testing methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation. This document applies to applications with an ambient temperature of -40°C to 60°C, a nominal working pressure not exceeding 2.5MPa, and a volume not exceeding 150L. Bottle valves for media conforming to GB 11174. This document does not apply to liquefied petroleum gas cylinder valves for vehicles.

The terms and definitions defined in GB 7512 and GB/T 13005, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.
3.1 reference state The state of the dry gas at a temperature of 15°C and an absolute pressure of 101.325kPa. [Source: GB/T 16411-2023, 3.1]
3.2 Rated cut-offflow At a pressure of
0.05 MPa, the maximum volumetric flow rate of the reference gas passing through the valve outlet, converted to the reference state of 20Y.
Note 1.20Y reference gas refers to liquefied petroleum gas of specification 20Y that conforms to GB/T 13611 standard. Note
2.The unit is cubic meters per hour (m3/h).
4.Model Numbering The valve model designation and representation methods are as follows:
