GB/T 8335-2026 is the English-translated version of 气瓶专用螺纹.

Gas cylinders are threaded at the neck to take valves and at other points for fittings, and this standard addresses the special threads used for gas cylinders. It is a recommended national standard that gives manufacturers and inspectors a shared technical basis for the thread form used on these pressure vessels.

The audience includes cylinder makers, valve and fitting suppliers, thread gauge producers, filling stations, periodic inspection bodies and importers who need their products to fit the Chinese cylinder supply chain. Because cylinder and valve parts are often made by different companies, a common thread document helps keep them compatible.

This is the 2026 edition. It was issued on 30 July 2026, takes effect on 1 February 2027 and replaces GB/T 8335-2011. Readers working to the previous edition should check how their drawings and gauges are referenced before the transition date.
