GB 15082-2026 rewrites the speedometer standard and widens it: where the 2008 text covered cars only, this one covers motorcycles as well, and it grows from one thousand words to four and a half thousand with terms and definitions, full test methods and the rules for judging whether a variant counts as the same type.

The core provision is unchanged — the indicated speed must never read below the true speed — but the requirements now address digital displays and electronic drive as well as the mechanical instruments the old text assumed.
