This document replaces GB/T 4074.2-2008 Winding wires - Test methods - Part 2.

Determination of dimensions. Compared with GB/T 4074.2-2008, in addition to

structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

-- The measuring force range of film tape wrapped round wire is changed (see Table

1b; see Table 1b of the 2008 edition);

-- The measuring pressure range for measuring paper covered wire dimensions is

changed (see Table 1c; see Table 1b of the 2008 edition);

-- The measurement quantity of conductor out-of-roundness is changed (see 4.2.2;

see 3.2.2 of the 2008 edition);

-- An overview of the insulation thickness test is added (see 4.2.4.1);

-- The test procedure for the thickness of the bonding layer of enamelled

rectangular wire is added (see 4.2.7).

1 Scope

This document describes the following test methods for winding wires.
