JB/T 9498-2014 is the English-translated version of 包覆绝缘圆电阻线.

Covered insulation round resistance wires are the subject of JB/T 9498-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry.

It covers round resistance alloy wire insulated with E-glass fibre, with impregnated silk or with enamel, and it fixes the product types, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the forms in which the product is supplied, and the packaging and marking.

JB/T 9498-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9498-1999.

2 Scope

Covered insulation round resistance wires are the subject of JB/T 9498-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry. It covers round resistance alloy wire insulated with E-glass fibre, with impregnated silk or with enamel, and it fixes the product types, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the forms in which the product is supplied, and the packaging and marking.
