Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 18088-2000 "Sampling for Quarantine of Animals Entering and Leaving the Country". Compared with GB/T 18088-2000, the main differences are in the structural adjustments. Aside from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The terminology and definitions for different types of animals and animal products have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2000 edition);

---Sample collection requirements have been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the.2000 edition);

---The preservation methods for different types of samples have been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 4 of the.2000 edition);

---The sampling quantity for imported and exported animals and animal products has been changed. In accordance with the sampling requirements of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), the quantity has been increased. The formula for calculating the number of animal disease monitoring samples has been added (see A.1,.2000 edition A.1). Please note that some content in this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document assumes no responsibility for identifying patents. This document was proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in SN/T 2028-2015 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Contract Goods A shipment or receipt of goods in a single transaction, the quantity of which is supported by a specified contract or shipping manifest, consisting of one or more batches of goods.

3.2 batch goods It is a collection of goods with a clear quantity and stable quality, and its key attributes such as product type, place of origin, and packaging specifications are consistent.

Note. This is usually used as the basic unit for comprehensive evaluation of the quality of goods under a contract.

3.3 Samplinggoods A small quantity of goods taken from one location in a bulk shipment.

Note. Multiple samples need to be taken from different locations within the batch of goods for inspection.

3.4 Mixing Sample If conditions permit, samples are taken from a specific batch of goods and mixed together.

3.5 Reducing the sample The mixed sample was reduced to obtain a sample that is representative of the batch of goods.
