Scope

GB/T 14506.1-2010 is the English-translated version of 硅酸盐岩石化学分析方法 第1部分:吸附水量测定.

GB/T 14506.1-2010 is Part 1 of the Chinese national series on the chemical analysis of silicate rocks and gives the gravimetric determination of hygroscopic water.

A 1 g sample weighed to the nearest 0.1 mg is spread in a cylindrical weighing bottle, dried half-open for two hours in an oven at 105 °C to 110 °C, cooled in a desiccator and weighed, then dried and weighed again until constant mass; the loss in mass is the adsorbed water.

It fixes the apparatus, a balance readable to 0.1 mg and a 35 mm weighing bottle, and requires samples prepared under GB/T 14505 with a maximum particle size below 74 µm.

It covers rocks, soils and stream sediments above 0.1 % adsorbed water. It replaces GB/T 14506.1-1993, was issued on 10 November 2010 and has applied since 1 February 2011.

This section GB/T Part of 114,506.

This Part replaces GB/T 14506.1-1993 "Silicate rocks - Determination of adsorption of water by weight." Compared with the original part of this section, the main changes are as follows.

--- Increasing the content of the warning;

--- Increasing the normative references.

This section presents the People's Republic of China Ministry of Land Resources.

1 Scope

GB/T 14506 provisions of this part of the determination of silicate rocks adsorbed water.

This section applies to silicate rocks assay water, but also for soil and stream sediments assay water. Measurement range. greater than 0.1% water absorption.

2 Normative references

The following documents contain provisions which, through reference GB/T 14506 in this section constitute provisions of this section. For dated reference documents Member, all subsequent amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this section, however, encouraged to reach under this section Parties to research agreement to use the latest versions of these documents. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this section.

GB/T 14505 method for chemical analysis of rocks and ores General rules and regulations

3 Principle

Sample after 105 °C drying to constant weight to lose mass is adsorbed water content.

4 Instruments and equipment

4.1 Balance. three, a sense of the amount of 0.1mg.

4.2 cylindrical weighing bottle (diameter 35mm).

5 Sample

According to GB/T 14505 requirements, the maximum particle size of the sample should be less than 74µm.

6 Analysis step

6.1 Determination of the number of The same sample, the general should be measured in duplicate, or by a certain percentage were measured in duplicate.

6.2 Sample volume

Weigh 1g sample to the nearest 0.1mg.

6.3 Determination

A sample (6.2) placed in 105 °C dried to constant weight and said weighing bottle (4.2) inside, gently shaking to make sample (6.2) evenly on the tile Bottom half-open bottle in a dry 2h inner warmed to 105 °C ~ 110 °C oven. Remove, reclosable bottle, coolish into the dryer, Cooled to room temperature, weighed (weighed before inching cap, so the bottle pressure and atmospheric pressure balance). And then placed in an oven and dried at the same temperature Half an hour, remove the cooled and weighed until constant weight.

Note: can also be used instead of a platinum crucible lid weighing bottle.
