Scope

GB/T 14506.17-2010 is the English-translated version of 硅酸盐岩石化学分析方法 第17部分:锶量测定.

GB/T 14506.17-2010 is Part 17 of the Chinese national series of chemical analysis methods for silicate rocks and gives the method for measuring strontium.

The sample is decomposed by fusion with sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate, the strontium carbonate precipitate is filtered off and taken up in nitric acid, lanthanum is added as a releasing agent, and the absorbance is measured on an atomic absorption spectrophotometer at 460.7 nm in a fuel-rich air-acetylene flame.

The standard lists the reagents, among them the sodium carbonate solution, the acids, the lanthanum nitrate and EDTA solutions and the strontium standard solutions, and covers strontium contents from 10 µg/g to 1000 µg/g.

It applies to silicate rocks and also to soils and stream sediments. It replaces GB/T 14506.17-1993, was issued on 10 November 2010 and has applied since 1 February 2011.

GB/T 14506.1 Silicate rocks - Part 1: Determination of water adsorption

3 Principle

Sample with sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate melt decomposition, strontium carbonate precipitate was filtered off to prepare a 2% solution of nitric acid, as a release agent to the lanthanide in an atomic absorption On closing spectrophotometer, at a wavelength of 460.7nm at a fuel-rich air - acetylene flame measured strontium absorbance, calculate the amount of strontium.

4 Reagents

Unless otherwise stated in this section are consistent with the use of analytical reagent and GB/T 6682 analytical laboratory use in the analysis.

4.1 Sodium hydroxide (solid particulate).

4.2 anhydrous sodium carbonate (powdered solids).

4.3 Sodium carbonate solution (20g/L).

4.4 Hydrochloride (rho1.19g/mL).

4.5 Hydrochloride (14).

4.6 Nitrate (rho1.42g/mL).

4.7 lanthanum nitrate solution. Weigh 31.2g of lanthanum nitrate [La (NO3) 3 · 6H2O] dissolved in water. This solution 1mL containing 100.0µg lanthanum.

4.8 EDTA (disodium ethylenediamine tetraacetate) solution (10%).

4.9 strontium standard solution
