Scope

GB/T 14506.4-2010 is the English-translated version of 硅酸盐岩石化学分析方法 第4部分:三氧化二铝量测定.

GB/T 14506.4-2010 is Part 4 of the Chinese national series of chemical analysis methods for silicate rocks and gives the method for measuring aluminium oxide.

The solution is prepared either by fusing the sample with sodium carbonate and taking the filtrate after silica separation, or by fusion with hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid and potassium pyrosulfate.

In hydrochloric acid medium excess EDTA complexes iron, aluminium and titanium, the pH is brought to 6, semi-xylenol orange serves as indicator and the excess EDTA is titrated with zinc standard solution; potassium fluoride then displaces the EDTA held by aluminium and titanium, which is titrated again before the titanium is subtracted.

It covers aluminium oxide contents from 3% to 20% in silicate rocks, soils and stream sediments. It replaces GB/T 14506.4-1993, was issued on 10 November 2010 and has applied since 1 February 2011.

--- Increasing the normative references;

--- Increased warning, warning.

This section presents the People's Republic of China Ministry of Land Resources.

1 Scope

GB/T 14506 provisions of this part of the determination of silicate rocks in the amount of aluminum oxide.

This section applies to the determination of silicate rocks in the amount of aluminum oxide, aluminum oxide also applies to the amount of soil and stream sediments in Determination.

Measurement range. 3% to 20% of the amount of aluminum oxide.

GB/T 14506.1 Silicate rocks - Part 1: Determination of water adsorption

3 Principle

Sample with sodium carbonate melt, the filtrate was measured after separating the silica or with hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid, potassium pyrophosphate fusion Preparation of the solution was measured. In hydrochloric acid medium, so that with the addition of excess EDTA iron, aluminum, titanium and other complex, adjusted to pH6, semi-xylenol orange as Indicator, with zinc standard solution titration of excess EDTA, followed by addition of potassium fluoride substituted with aluminum, titanium complexed EDTA, zinc and then mark Standard solution titration released EDTA, this is aluminum, titanium alloy amount that was subtracted from the amount of titanium aluminum content.

4 Reagents

Unless otherwise stated in this section are consistent with the use of analytical reagent and GB/T 6682 analytical laboratory use in the analysis.

4.1 Potassium pyrosulfate.

4.2 Hydrofluoric acid (rho1.15g/mL). Warning --- toxic and corrosive hydrofluoric acid, the operation should wear gloves to prevent skin contact.

4.3 Ethanol.

4.4 Sulfate (11). Warning --- improper dilution risk prone.

4.5 Glacial acetic acid (rho1.05g/mL).

4.6 Acetic acid (11).

4.7 Hydrochloride (11).

4.8 Hydrochloride (19).

4.9 Aqueous ammonia (11).

4.10 Zinc acetate solution (50g/L).

4.11 Sodium fluoride solution (200g/L). Stored in plastic bottles.
