Scope

GB/T 14506.24-2010 is the English-translated version of 硅酸盐岩石化学分析方法 第24部分:镉量测定.

GB/T 14506.24-2010 is the twenty-fourth part of the Chinese national series of chemical analysis methods for silicate rocks, and it measures cadmium.

The sample is decomposed with hydrochloric, nitric and hydrofluoric acid, a little perchloric acid is added and the solution is evaporated to white fumes, converted to 2 mol/L hydrochloric acid and passed through 717 anion exchange resin, which separates cadmium from the interfering elements; cadmium is then stripped with hot nitric acid and read on an oscillopolarograph at a peak potential of about -0.70 V against a saturated calomel electrode.

It works from 0.05 microgram per gram of cadmium upwards and is also used on soils and stream sediments. It replaces GB/T 14506.24-1993, was issued on 10 November 2010 and has applied since 1 February 2011.

This section GB/T 14506 of Part 24.

This Part replaces GB/T 14506.24-1993 "Silicate rocks - hydrochloric acid - potassium iodide - tetraethyl bromide (iodide), ammonium Determination of cadmium content "medium polarographic method.

Section compared with the GB/T 14506.24-1993 main change this as follows.

--- Increasing the normative references;

--- Increased warning, warning.

This section presents the People's Republic of China Ministry of Land Resources.

1 Scope

GB/T 14506 provisions of this part of the determination of the amount of cadmium silicate rocks.

This section applies to the amount of cadmium determination in silicate rocks, is also applicable to the determination of cadmium in soil and stream sediment volume. Measuring range. 0.05µg/g or more cadmium.

GB/T 14506.1 Silicate rocks - Part 1: Determination of water adsorption

3 Principle

Samples with hydrochloric acid - nitric acid - hydrofluoric acid decomposition, adding a small amount of perchloric acid and heated and evaporated to do to take the white smoke rush hydrofluoric acid, is converted to 2mol/L hydrochloric acid solution, dried 717 anion exchange resin so many interfering elements cadmium and separation. Cadmium is adsorbed on the resin with hot nitric Pickling mention evaporated rush nitric acid and hydrochloric acid - potassium iodide - tetraethyl bromide (iodide) ammonium base solution on the oscilloscope pole spectrometer, the peak potential of about -0.70V (Saturated calomel electrode), adsorption and catalytic current high cadmium concentration peak linear relationship to calculate the amount of cadmium.

4 Reagents

Unless otherwise stated in this section are consistent with the use of analytical reagent and GB/T 6682 analytical laboratory use in the analysis.

4.1 hydrochloric acid (rho1.19g/mL), pure class distinctions.

4.2 hydrochloric acid (11), pure class distinctions.

4.3 hydrochloric acid (37), pure class distinctions.

4.4 hydrochloric acid c (HCl) = 2mol/L. Take 100mL of hydrochloric acid (4.1) placed in 600mL beaker, add 500mL water, stir well.

4.5 nitrate (rho1.42g/mL), pure class distinctions.

4.6 nitric acid (19).

4.7 Hydrofluoric acid (rho1.15g/mL). Warning --- toxic and corrosive hydrofluoric acid, the operation should wear gloves to prevent skin contact.

4.8 perchloric acid (rho1.67g/mL), pure class distinctions. Warning --- explosive materials, careful.

4.9 tetraethylammonium bromide (iodide) ammonium solution (10g/L).

4.10 potassium iodide solution c (KI) = 1mol/L. Weigh 16.6g of potassium iodide, placed in 150mL beaker, add water to dissolve, moved 100mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water, stir well.

4.11 ascorbic acid solution (100g/L). The time is now equipped with.
