1 Scope

GB/T 12808-2015 is the Chinese national standard on laboratory glassware - one mark pipettes, in the field of glass and ceramics industries. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 31 December 2015 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2016. 3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions are applicable to this Standard.

3.1 standard temperature Standard temperature is the temperature used when measuring in or out of its nominal volume (capacity), which is set to 20 C.

3.2 capacity At 20 C, the volume of water at 20 C contained when reaching the scale mark, expressed in (mL).

3.3 curved liquid surface setting Curved liquid surface setting means the lowest point of the curved liquid surface is tangent to the horizontal plane of the upper edge of the graduation line. The line of sight is on the same level as the upper edge of the graduation line.

4 Specification Series and Accuracy Grades

4.1 Product Specifications 1 mL, 2 mL, 3 mL, 5 mL, 10 mL, 15 mL, 20 mL, 25 mL, 50 mL and 100 mL.

4.2 Accuracy Grades Grade-A and Grade-B.
