Scope

GB/T 5686.1-2022 is the English-translated version of 锰铁、锰硅合金、氮化锰铁和金属锰 锰含量的测定 电位滴定法、硝酸铵氧化滴定法及高氯酸氧化滴定法.

GB/T 5686.1-2022 is Part 1 of GB/T 5686 and gives three ways of determining the manganese content of ferromanganese, ferromanganese-silicon, nitrogen-bearing ferromanganese and manganese metal.

They are potentiometric titration, in which the sample is decomposed with hydrochloric, nitric, perchloric and hydrofluoric acids and titrated with potassium permanganate standard solution in a neutral potassium pyrophosphate medium, titrimetry after ammonium nitrate oxidation, and titrimetry after perchloric acid oxidation.

It also covers the reagents and apparatus, sampling to GB/T 4010, the allowable differences and a normative appendix with the acceptance procedure for sample analysis results.

Clause 1 gives a determination range of 50.00% to 98.00% mass fraction, and rules out Method 1 where the chromium and vanadium content is greater than 0.4% mass fraction.

It replaces GB/T 5686.1-2008, was issued on 14 October 2022 and has applied since 1 February 2023.

Introduction

Since there are many detection elements involved in the detection process of manganese-based ferroalloys such as ferromanganese, manganese-silicon alloy, ferromanganese nitride and metal manganese, the The scope of application and the method of application vary. In order to ensure the convenience and accuracy of testing standards for ferromanganese, manganese silicon alloy, ferromanganese nitride and metal manganese Indeed, analytical methods for different elements of ferromanganese, manganese-silicon alloys, ferromanganese nitrides and metal manganese have been established to support ferromanganese, manganese-silicon alloys, nitrides National standard system for the detection of ferromanganese and manganese metal. GB/T 5686 ferromanganese, manganese silicon alloy, ferromanganese nitride and metal manganese series analysis methods are The basic standard for the detection of ferromanganese, manganese-silicon alloy, ferromanganese nitride and metal manganese in my country consists of the following five parts.

4 Method - potentiometric titration

4.1 Principle

The sample is decomposed with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, perchloric acid and hydrofluoric acid, and is measured by potentiometric titration with potassium permanganate standard solution in neutral potassium pyrophosphate medium.

Determine the manganese content. Among them, manganese(II) ions are oxidized and permanganate ions are reduced to form pyrophosphate complexes of manganese(III), manganese(II) ions
