Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB 17762-1999 Safety and hygiene requirements of thermotolerant glassware. Compared with GB 17762-1999, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) the title of the standard has been changed (see the cover; see the cover of the 1999 edition);

b) terms and definitions have been added (see Clause 3);

c) the product classification has been deleted (see Clause 3 of the 1999 edition);

d) the indicators distinguishing superior-grade products from qualified products have been deleted and the technical requirements unified (see Clause 4; see Clause 4 of the 1999 edition);

e) the hydrolytic resistance at 98 °C has been changed (see Clause 4; see Clause 4 of the 1999 edition);

f) technical requirements for hydrolytic resistance of glass grains at 121 °C, acid resistance (spectrometric method), acid resistance (gravimetric method), alkali resistance and boron trioxide content have been added (see Clause 4);

g) the ranges of the coefficient of linear thermal expansion are specified separately for heat-resistant blown glassware and heat-resistant pressed glassware (see Clause 4; see Clause 4 of the 1999 edition);

h) the technical requirement for thermal shock resistance temperature has been changed (see Clause 4; see Clause 4 of the 1999 edition);

i) a requirement for cadmium migration has been added (see Clause 4);

j) the release of harmful elements has been changed to migration of lead and cadmium and migration of arsenic and antimony (see Clause 4; see Clause 4 of the 1999 edition);

k) test methods for hydrolytic resistance of glass grains at 121 °C, acid resistance (spectrometric method), acid resistance (gravimetric method), alkali resistance and boron trioxide content have been added (see 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.7);

l) the test conditions for the release of harmful elements have been changed, from boiling at 121 °C for 2 h to boiling at 98 °C for 2 h (see 5.10, 5.11; see Clause 5 of the 1999 edition);

m) the inspection rules have been deleted (see Clause 6 of the 1999 edition).
