Scope

GB/T 3286.12-2023 is the English-translated version of 石灰石及白云石化学分析方法 第12部分:氧化钾和氧化钠含量的测定 火焰原子吸收光谱法.

GB/T 3286.12-2023 is Part 12 of GB/T 3286 and gives the flame atomic absorption method for measuring potassium oxide and sodium oxide in limestone and dolomite.

The mass fraction range is 0.005 % to 1.00 % for potassium oxide and 0.005 % to 0.50 % for sodium oxide.

The sample is decomposed with hydrochloric, hydrofluoric and perchloric acid, evaporated almost to dryness, the salts are redissolved in hydrochloric acid and made up to volume; absorbance is then read in an air-acetylene flame at 766.5 nm for potassium and 589.0 nm for sodium, and the mass fractions are obtained by the calibration curve method.

It cites GB/T 7728 for flame atomic absorption practice, GB/T 6379.1 and GB/T 6379.2 for precision and GB/T 8170 for rounding. It was issued on 27 November 2023 and has applied since 1 June 2024.
