1 Foreword

JB/T 7163-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7163-2004, JB/T 7163-1993.

2 Scope

JB/T 7163-2014 is the recommended machinery industry standard of China for the steel die forgings used in rock drilling machines and pneumatic tools. It fixes the technical requirements for these forgings, the precision and test grades, the test methods and the acceptance rules. The forgings it covers are those made for rock drilling machines and pneumatic tools on hammers and presses. GB/T 231.1 and GB/T 6394 are quoted and are quoted by it it. The document replaces the 2004 edition, JB/T 7163-2004. Issued on 6 May 2014, it has applied since 1 October 2014.
