1 Foreword

JB/T 8718-2010 was issued by MIIT on 11 February 2010 and has been in force since 1 July 2010.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8718-1998.

2 Scope

JB/T 8718-2010 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on rail-mounted rock drills. It sets the types and the basic parameters of the machine, its technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to the rail-mounted rock drill that is powered by compressed air. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 2828.1-2003, GB/T 5621, GB/T 5898-2008, GB/T 6247-2004, GB 17957-2005, JB/T 1590, JB/T 7161 and JB/T 7302.
