GB/T 44908-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the retrofit of an onshore wind farm already in service — the assessment made before any upgrade is approved, the technical requirements at turbine level and at farm level, the safety requirements covering site adaptability, the control system, the electrical installation, monitoring, personnel and the construction work carried out while neighbouring turbines keep turning, and the evaluation of output, safety, reliability, grid behaviour and economics afterwards. The scope is the farm already turning, not the one on the drawing board. First edition, under the China Machinery Industry Federation. In force from 26 October 2024. Issued on 26 October 2024, it has been in force since 26 October 2024.
