GB/T 39968-2021 is the English-translated version of 建筑用通风百叶窗技术要求.

GB/T 39968-2021 is the Chinese national technical specification for ventilation louvers used in buildings. It covers their classification and marking, the general requirements, the performance requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the product.

It applies to fixed ventilation louvers and does not apply to louvers that can be opened. The materials it draws on include steel sheet, aluminium plate and profiles, PVC-U profiles, wire mesh, safety glass and sealants, and the tests refer to methods for ventilation and rain resistance, wind load, sound insulation and debris impact.

An informative annex explains how to calculate and select louvers, and a normative annex gives the sand resistance test. It was issued on 30 April 2021 and has applied since 1 November 2021.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, general requirements, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, product markings, packaging of building ventilation shutters Loading, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to ventilation shutters for buildings.

This standard does not apply to shutters that can be opened.
