Scope
GB/T 5825-2026 is the English-translated version of 建筑门窗幕墙开关标志及符号.
GB/T 5825-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the symbols on a drawing that say how a window opens - casement, tilt, pivot, sliding, hopper and the rest, and which way, which is information a facade drawing cannot do without. It replaces GB/T 5825-1986, a standard forty years old, and takes effect on 1 December 2026. It was issued on 25 May 2026 and takes effect on 1 December 2026, replacing GB/T 5825-1986. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. This page is published from the official record of the 2026 edition; the clause text of a standard this recent is not yet in circulation, and the figures, limits and tables it contains are those of the document itself, delivered in full with the English translation.

4.1 General Provisions
4.1.1 The switching information of the movable fan should include displacement trajectory information and displacement value information.
4.1.2 The displacement trajectory information of the movable sector should be the path and direction of the movable sector when it undergoes spatial displacement, and the displacement value information should be the opening value of the movable sector. The maximum displacement value and related positioning dimensions after startup.
4.1.3 Switching information shall be determined according to the following spatial coordinate system (see Figure 1).
a) Establish a coordinate system with the person outside the usable space and facing the activity sector;
b) The closed plane of the active sector in its closed state is taken as the XY coordinate plane;
c) In the XY coordinate plane, the positive X-axis is horizontal to the right, and the positive Y-axis is obtained by rotating 90° counterclockwise from the X-axis;
d) The origin O of the spatial coordinate system is the minimum value of the X and Y coordinates of the movable sector;
e) The positive direction of the Z-axis is defined as the direction that passes through the origin of the coordinate system, perpendicular to the XY coordinate plane, and points out of the plane.
4.1.4 Graphical and textual symbols for switches may be used separately. Graphical symbols should be marked on the XY coordinate plane (elevation view of the movable sector). It is advisable to mark the location of the moving sector's displacement trajectory on the XZ coordinate plane (moving sector plan view) or the YZ coordinate plane (moving sector cross-sectional view). See Figure
