Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 23443-2009 "Aluminum veneer for architectural decoration". Compared with GB/T 23443-2009, except for the structural adjustment and In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

1 Scope

GB/T 23443-2024 is the Chinese standard for the aluminium panels used as building cladding and interior decoration: the folded and stiffened single-skin panels that make up a great deal of the facade of Chinese commercial buildings. The panel is a safety-critical part of the envelope, since it is fixed several storeys up and it has to stay there through wind, thermal movement and time, and it is also the most visible, so its appearance is what the building is judged on. The standard sets the classification and designation, the requirements on the aluminium alloy and its temper and thickness, on the coating, whether fluorocarbon, polyester or anodised, and its thickness, adhesion, hardness, impact resistance, colour difference, gloss and resistance to weathering, chemicals and staining, on the dimensions and the geometric tolerances including flatness and squareness, on the stiffeners and the fixing lugs and their strength, and on the panel's mechanical performance under wind load, together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. The 2024 edition replaces GB/T 23443-2009.
