Aside from adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---The values for the arithmetic mean size deviation of the mesh and the range of large mesh deviation have been changed (see Tables 1 and 2, 2003 editions of Tables 1 and 2);

---The description and requirements for weaving defects in metal wire braided square mesh have been revised (see 5.2.2, 4.6.3 of the 2003 edition);

---The maximum permissible number of major weaving defects in woven square mesh wire mesh has been changed (see Table 3, Table 4 in the 2003 edition);

---Added specifications for the tensile strength of woven square-hole metal wire mesh (see 5.2.9);

---The values for the wire diameter and limit deviations have been changed (see Table 5, Table 3 in the 2003 edition);

---The requirements for selecting metal wire have been changed (see 5.3.1, 4.5.1 in the 2003 edition);

---Added provisions regarding the permissible limits of the wire diameter (see 5.3.4);

---The regulations regarding the distance between the inspection location and the edge of the net have been changed (see 6.5, 5.4 of the 2003 edition);

---Added relevant provisions for evaluating the results of wire mesh testing (see 6.7, 6.8).

1 Scope

This document specifies the weaving style and type of industrial metal wire woven square hole screens with basic mesh sizes ranging from 0.02mm to 16.00mm.

Number and specifications, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage.

This document applies to the screening of solid particles, the filtration of liquids and gases, and the production of woven square-hole metal wire mesh for other industrial applications.

Production, inspection and acceptance.
