GB/T 41334-2022 is the English-translated version of 建筑门窗无障碍技术要求.
GB/T 41334-2022 sets the accessibility requirements for the doors and windows of a building and the methods that test them.
It fixes what an accessible door or window has to offer - the clear opening, the height and shape of the handles and their operating force, the threshold, the visibility and the safety of the moving parts - and how each requirement is verified.
It applies to the doors and windows regularly used by disabled people, by the elderly, by children and by others with reduced mobility, and not to special doors and windows such as fire, riot, escape and radiation shielding ones.
Window makers, architects and building inspectors use it. Issued on 9 March 2022, it has applied since 1 October 2022.
