Scope

GB/T 20909-2017 is the English-translated version of 钢门窗.

GB/T 20909-2017 is the Chinese national standard for steel windows and doors. It sets the terms and definitions, the classification, specifications and marking, the general requirements and the detailed requirements, together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the rules for marking, packaging, transport and storage.

It applies to steel windows used in industrial and civil buildings and to steel doors used in civil buildings. Three annexes complete it: the normative Annex A on thermally insulated profiles, Annex B listing the common material standards and Annex C on the wind load deflection calculation method.

Manufacturers and testing centres use it to state and check the performance of steel doors and windows. It replaces GB/T 20909-2007, was issued on 14 October 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 20909-2007 "steel doors and windows", compared with GB/T 20909-2007, in addition to editorial changes outside the main technology The changes are as follows.

--- Added insulation profiles definition (see 3.3);

--- Redefinition of the classification of steel doors and windows, an increase of classification by purpose (see 4.1,4.3);

--- Chapter 5 "Materials" replaced by "General Requirements", the fire, anti-theft and some did not specify the requirements of the index moved to the chapter (See 5, 5.5, 5.8, 5.9, 2007 edition 5,6.3,6.6.8,6.6.9) and added lightning protection, anti-blast shock wave, barrier-free construction Building doors with the provisions (see 5.4,5.7,5.8,5.9,5.10,5.11);

--- Modify the door and window coating adhesion test method to remove the door surface coating impact resistance requirements (see 6.1.3, 2007 edition 6.1.3, Table 14);

--- Part of the processing accuracy index has been adjusted to remove the difference between adjacent cell size, frame fan fit gap (see Table 4, 6.2.3, Table 6,6.2.2 for the 2007 edition);

--- In accordance with the latest relevant standards, doors and windows airtight, thermal insulation, air sound insulation and other properties were graded (see Table 5, Table 8, Table 9, Table 10, Table 8 of the 2007 edition, Table 10, Table 11, Table 12);

--- Increased shading performance, anti-static distortion performance, anti-dust performance, impact resistance requirements of wind-resistant materials (see 6.6.6,6.6.10, 6.6.13,6.6.14);

--- Increasing the requirements of insulating profiles [see 5.1e), Appendix A].
