Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting.

This document is Part 2 of GB/T 1147 "Internal Combustion Engines of Medium and Small Power". GB/T 1147 has already published the following parts.

This document replaces GB/T 1147.2-2017 "Small and Medium Power Internal Combustion Engines - Part 2: Test Methods", and is consistent with GB/T 1147.2-2017.

In comparison, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Added terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);

b) The exhaust back pressure requirements for the test apparatus have been changed (see 4.2, 3.2 in the 2017 edition);

c) The pre-test break-in requirements have been changed (see 4.3, 3.3 in the 2017 version);

d) Fuel and oil requirements have been changed (see 4.5; 3.5 in the 2017 edition);

e) The testing site requirement has been removed (see 3.6 in the 2017 version);

f) Increased requirements for test fuel inlet and outlet pressures and intake resistance (see 4.8);

g) The measurement location and time of the test data were changed (see Tables 2 and 6.2, and Tables 2 and 5.2 in the 2017 edition);

h) Change "performance testing" to "test methods" and incorporate the revised 2017 versions of reliability, durability, and thermal shock testing (see Chapter 7, Chapters 6, 8-10 of the 2017 edition);

i) The starting performance test has been modified (see 7.1, 6.1.1 in the 2017 version);

j) The speed regulation performance test has been modified (see 7.2, 6.1.2 in the 2017 version);

k) The load characteristic test has been modified (see 7.3, 6.1.3 in the 2017 version);

l) The calibration power test has been modified (see 7.4, 6.1.4 in the 2017 version);

m) The fuel consumption rate test has been modified (see 7.5, 6.1.5 in the 2017 edition);

n) The speed characteristics test has been modified (see 7.6, 6.1.6 in the 2017 version);

o) The use of feature tests has been removed (see 6.1.7 in the 2017 version);

p) The thermal balance test has been modified (see 7.14, 6.1.16 in the 2017 version);

q) Noise measurement has been modified (see 7.15, 6.1.17 of the 2017 edition);

r) The exhaust smoke test has been modified (see 7.16, 6.1.18 in the 2017 version);

s) Emissions testing has been modified (see 7.17, 6.1.19 of the 2017 edition);

t) The mechanical vibration test and crankshaft torsional vibration test have been modified (see 7.18, 7.19, and 6.1.20 of the 2017 version);

u) An effective thermal efficiency test has been added (see 7.23);

v) An tilt test was added (see 7.24);

w) Electromagnetic compatibility testing has been added (see 7.25);

x) The special performance test has been changed (see 7.29, 6.2 in the 2017 version);

y) An electronic control system test was added (see 7.30);

z) An oil dilution test has been added (see 7.31);

Introduction

Small and medium power internal combustion engines (rated power not exceeding 560kW) are widely used in road vehicles, ships, agricultural tractors, forestry machinery, and industrial machinery.

Engineering machinery, generator sets, irrigation and drainage machinery, etc., provide power for various supporting machinery.

GB/T 1147 "Small and Medium Power Internal Combustion Engines" is a general technical standard for small and medium power internal combustion engines, aiming to provide a framework for their development.

GB/T 1147 provides a basis for development, production, inspection, trade (delivery) and technical exchange. It consists of two parts.

---Part 1: General Technical Specifications. The purpose is to establish general requirements for small-power internal combustion engines for different applications.

---Part 2: Test Methods. The aim is to establish test methods for small and medium power internal combustion engines, including general performance test methods and specific test methods. Special performance testing methods.

1 Scope

This document describes the test methods for small and medium power internal combustion engines (rated power not exceeding 560kW).

This document applies to small and medium power vehicles, ships, agricultural tractors and forestry machinery, construction machinery, generator sets, and irrigation and drainage machinery.

For internal combustion engines (hereinafter referred to as "internal combustion engines"), other small and medium power internal combustion engines for which there are currently no applicable standards shall refer to this standard.
