Foreword

GB/T 15370, General requirement of agricultural tractors, is divided into 5 parts:

- Part 1: Under 50 kW wheeled tractors;

- Part 2: 50 kW to 130 kW wheeled tractors;

- Part 3: Over 130 kW wheeled tractors;

- Part 4: Crawler tractors;

- Part 5: Belt-driven wheeled tractors.

This part is Part 1 of GB/T 15370.

This part was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part is a revision of the portion of GB/T 15370-2004, General requirement of agricultural wheeled and crawler tractors, concerning wheeled tractors under 50 kW. The main changes are as follows:

- the requirement "there shall be no electrical leakage" has been added (see 3.1.3);

- the requirement "the hand throttle lever shall stay reliably in any position and shall not be affected by operation of the foot throttle" has been added (see 3.1.6; 3.1.7 of the 2004 edition);

- the requirement "the clutch shall engage smoothly and disengage completely, and when engaged shall transmit the full engine torque" has been added (see 3.1.8);

- provisions for the toe-in of the front wheels of the tractor and for the front drive axle of four-wheel-drive tractors have been added (see 3.1.11);

- the requirement "if the engine stalls while the tractor is travelling, manual steering shall still be possible" has been added (see 3.1.12);

- the requirement "the engine fitted to the tractor shall bear the quality and safety mark and a label conforming to GB 20891" has been added (see 3.2.2);

- the power take-off performance has been modified (see 3.3.1; 3.3.1 of the 2004 edition);

- the requirements for the lifting process of the hydraulic lift have been modified (see 3.3.6.2; 3.3.8.2 and 3.3.8.3 of the 2004 edition);

- the requirements for hydraulic lift performance have been modified (see 3.3.6.3; 3.3.8.4 of the 2004 edition);

- the whole-body vibration indicator of the tractor has been deleted (see 3.3.9 of the 2004 edition);

- the structural specific mass of the tractor has been modified (see 3.3.7; 3.3.10 of the 2004 edition);

- inspection of the appearance quality of the tractor has been added (see 4.1);

- testing of the paint film adhesion of the tractor cover parts has been added (see 4.2);

- the test of the lifting time of the tractor hydraulic lift has been added (see 4.5);

- the tests of the tractor safety items have been added (see 4.8);

- the quality spot-check inspection has been deleted (see Clause 5 of the 2004 edition);

- the engine quality and safety mark and label have been added to Table 1, and the category of some items has been modified;

- the concept of tractor series design has been added (see 5.2.2.1);

- content on fitting the trademark or enterprise logo and the model designation has been added (see 7.1);

- the rust-protection validity period of the tractor and its spare parts, accessories and on-board tools has been modified (see 7.4; 7.3 of the 2004 edition).

From its date of implementation, this part replaces the content of GB/T 15370-2004 relating to wheeled tractors under 50 kW.

This part was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation.

This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Tractors of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 140).
