JB/T 4159-2013 is the English-translated version of 热带电工产品通用技术要求.
JB/T 4159-2013 is a recommended machinery industry standard of China that gives the general technical requirements for electrical products intended for tropical service. It covers the protection types used against the tropical climate, the environmental conditions of use, the environmental technical requirements, the testing and acceptance requirements, and the marking and packaging of such products. The standard carries the Chinese classification A21 and the international classification 19.020, and it replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4159-1999. It quotes GB/T 1766-2008, with the environmental test documents GB/T 2423.1-2008, GB/T 2423.2-2008, GB/T 2423.3-2006, GB/T 2423.4-2008, GB/T 2423.16-2008, GB/T 2423.17-2008, GB/T 2423.22-2012 and GB/T 2423.24-2013, and with GB 4208-2008, GB/T 9386-1998 and JB/T 4160-2013.
