JB/T 7596-2010 is the English-translated version of 船用充电发电装置技术条件.

JB/T 7596-2010 is a recommended machinery industry standard setting the technical requirements for marine charging generator sets. It gives the classification of the marine charging power plant, the types and basic parameters, the test methods and inspection rules, and the provisions for marking, packaging, warehousing and transportation. The standard applies to charging generating devices of rated power from 1.2 kW to 18 kW, driven by a diesel engine and serving the charging of batteries and other marine resistive loads. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it under Chinese classification K26 and international classification 29.160, and it replaces JB/T 7596-1994. Among the standards it quotes are GB 755-2008, GB/T 7060-2008 and JB/T 9617-1999.
