It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8683-1998.

2 Scope

JB/T 8683-2013 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on atmospheric exposure testing of machinery products and their component parts in a marine environment. It gives the test methods to be used and the guidance for choosing the exposure test suited to a product or a part.
