Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 9994-2008 "Public moisture regain of textile materials." Major technical changes compared to GB/T 9994-2008 as follows.

--- Change "blend product" to "multi-component product" and delete the note in the scope;

--- Revised the fixed moisture regain of cotton fabrics, wool woven fabrics, modal fibers, lyocell fibers and aramid fibers;

--- Increased chitosan fiber, polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber, polybutylene terephthalate fiber, ultra high molecular weight polyethylene Specific moisture regain of fibers, polyolefin elastomer fibers, polyphenylene sulfide fibers, polyimide fibers, and carbon fibers;

--- Removed fluorocarbon fiber and its official moisture regain.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the official moisture regain of major textile materials.

This standard is applicable to textile materials and can be used to calculate the mass of textile materials, the linear density of yarns, and the mass per unit area of fabrics. And fiber content in quantitative analysis of multi-component products.
