This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 153-2009 "Coniferous Sawn Timber". Main technical changes compared with GB/T 153-2009 in this standard as follows:

--- Added "terms and definitions" (see Chapter 3);

--- Modified the tree species (see 4.1, 3.1 of the 2009 edition);

--- Modified the size (see 4.2, 3.2 of the 2009 version);

--- Modified width, thickness and upgrade (see 4.2.3, 3.2.3 of the 2009 edition);

--- Revised dimensional tolerances (see 4.2.4, 3.2.4 of the 2009 edition);

--- Modified the material index (see 4.3, 3.3 of the 2009 version);

--- Revised the inspection requirements for cracks and skins (see Table 3, Table 3 of the 2009 edition);

--- Modified the inspection requirements for warpage (see Table 3, Table 3 of the 2009 edition).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements and test methods for coniferous sawn timber.

This standard applies to all coniferous sawn timber products other than raw edge sawn timber and special sawn timber.
