Foreword

GB/T 17659 "Sampling and Judging Method for Batch Inspection of Log Sawn Timber" is divided into the following two parts.

--- Part 1. Sampling and determination methods for log batch inspection;

--- Part 2. Sawmill batch inspection sampling, determination method.

This part is the second part of GB/T 17659.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces GB/T 17659.2-1999 "Sampling and determination methods for batch inspection of sawn timber. Part 2. Batch inspection of sawn timber Sample, judgment method. The main technical changes compared with GB/T 17659.2-1999 are as follows.

--- Increased standard use range (see Chapter 1);

--- Revised the normative reference document (see Chapter 2);

---Modified terms and definitions (see 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7);

---Modified inspection rules and methods (see 5.1, 5.2, 5.4);

--- Revised sampling plan and judgment method (see 6.1, 6.2);

--- Modified the post-checking method (see Chapter 7).

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 17659 specifies the terms and definitions of sawn timber batches, inspection items, inspection rules and methods, sampling plans and judgment method, and comprehensive judgment.

This section applies to the field of sawn timber production, circulation and supervision and inspection.
