Scope
GB/T 13745-2009 is the English-translated version of 学科分类与代码.
GB/T 13745-2009 is the Chinese national classification of academic disciplines, and the code table that goes with it: 62 first-level disciplines or discipline groups, 676 second-level and 2,382 third-level, from Mathematics 110 to Statistics 910. It is the scheme against which research projects, results and funding are classified and reported in China, so anyone filing, tabulating or exchanging research information on Chinese terms works to these codes. The document sets the principles of classification, the basis on which disciplines are divided, the rules of the code system and the coding method, then gives the table itself; Annex A maps every addition, removal and change against the 1992 edition. It replaces GB/T 13745-1992, and the change is substantial: 39 second-level and 337 third-level disciplines added, 4 and 25 removed, 65 moved, 67 renamed, and the decimal point dropped from the code form. Issued on 6 May 2009, in force since 1 November 2009. Classification: ICS 35.040, CCS A24. The document runs to 105 pages, delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 13745-1992 "subject classification and code." And science and technology development plans and therefore the main subject has been included in the formation of scientific research, research statistics and management services, and for a Maturity is not enough, or still brewing prototype development are likely to form the subject included temporarily until after the test of time for the next revision of this standard When appropriate, re-indexed. This standard specifies the classification principles discipline, discipline Sort, encoding method, and discipline classification system and code. This standard applies to information classification based discipline, sharing and exchange, also apply to the national macro-management and departmental applications. The standard classification is no substitute for literature, intelligence, and science books category A variety of perspectives on art.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
2.1 Relatively independent of knowledge.
2.2 Having a common attribute of a group of subjects. Each subject group includes a number of branches.
3 Subject classification principles
3.1 Scientific Principles According to Information disciplines with the objective of the properties, characteristics and the nature of each other, divided into different affiliation and tied for second Order to form an orderly discipline classification system.
3.2 Applicability Principles Subject to classification and coding should be to meet the application needs of the country's macro-management as the basic goal, to be included within the subject classification system Covering areas should be comprehensive, affordable.
3.3 principles of simplicity Level of discipline division and combination, simple and succinct.
3.4 compatibility principle Consider the actual use of inheritance and continuity of domestic traditional classification system, and focus on improving the international comparability.
3.5 Principles expansion ductility According to a feature of modern science and technology system highly dynamic, and we should leave room for budding new subject to the classification system Relatively stable and continue to be expanded under.
3.6 Uniqueness of principle In the subject classification system, a subject can only use one name, a code. After a subject is adjusted to change its original classification generations Code revocation shall not be given to other subjects to use.
4 Sort by Subject
This standard is derived source of study subjects based primarily on the nature of the properties or characteristics of disciplines, research methods of discipline, discipline, discipline Five areas of research objectives and goals are divided. Note
5 Subject classification code system
5.1 Subject listed standards should have formed the theoretical system and specialized methods; scientists appear related groups; research institutes and * * *
