This document specifies the description methods, composition, entities, and elements of space science data metadata, and establishes extended classes for space science metadata. Types and principles. This document applies to the submission, registration, and cataloging of scientific data in the fields of space science, including space physics, space astronomy, lunar and planetary science. Archive, create databases, publish, share, exchange, query, and use. This document does not apply to data in space life sciences and biotechnology, aerospace medicine, and microgravity science.
