Scope

GB/T 36097-2018 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 学习、教育和培训 虚拟实验构件元数据.

GB/T 36097-2018 defines the metadata used to describe virtual experiment components in learning, education and training. It sets out the structure of the metadata, with its basic metadata categories, vocabularies, character sets and representation, and then specifies the core elements of the virtual experiment component metadata one by one.

Separate clauses deal with multiple text strings, date and time, duration and the vocabularies used for coded values. The standard builds on the learning object metadata of GB/T 21365-2008 and draws on national standards for quantities and units, character sets, country names and subject classification codes.

It applies to the development of virtual experimental teaching systems, and is used by developers of e-learning platforms and digital teaching resources. It was issued on 15 March 2018 and has applied since 1 October 2018.
