1 Scope

This standard specifies the learning object metadata data elements. Also it provides a conceptual data model for the definition of learning objects

Examples of metadata structures. For this standard, a learning object is defined as anything that can be used for learning, education and training and non-digital numbers entity.

For this standard, learning object metadata instance describes a suitable learning object related features. These features can be divided into

9 categories. general, survival, meta - metadata, technology, education, rights, relationship, commentary and classification.
